Vacation Update

So, again I was a bad blogger and I let a whole month go by without a single post! Who can blame me? I've been on 'vacation' from my California life...yes, I just said that. Even though, every single day practically has been overcast and rainy (and the day I leave by the way it jumps from the 60's to the 80's go figure.) I have really enjoyed my time back east.

I flew into Chicago over 3 weeks ago and have been bouncing back and forth between my parents house in Indiana and my in-laws house in Michigan. In the time I have been home I have been enjoying my time with family and friends before Cameron comes. The next time I come home we will be a family of 3 and as hard as that is to imagine I can't wait for that time to come.

I have also enjoyed being forced (in some sort of way) to do nothing for a few days. Once I go back to California you had better bet this blog is going to be blowing up with all sorts of DIY projects I have lined up. (Stay tuned!)

So, in the time I've been home I have been blessed with 2 baby showers (and a third this weekend) and I have to say I can't think of another time in my life where I felt that Jake and I were so loved. We have gotten so much that we needed for Cameron and the weight that it has taken off our shoulders has been amazing. I can not thank those who have given to us enough!

And was the Maid of Honor (because I'm not old enough to be a matron...) in my best friends wedding. I'm not lie - Mrs. Gillis was the most b-e-a-utiful bride! Here, You be the judge:

Isn't she gorgeous! (And no, her and her family are normal height - her new hubby is just abnormally tall (love you Steve!)) The bridal party was a lot of fun to be with as well. I was not the only expecting bridesmaid and thanks to the great dresses, which you can find the site to here, there was no alterations needed for our growing baby bumps. Not only was all the pre-wedding fun but the actual wedding was full of fun little surprises as well.

Like another wedding I attended in September, they had a photo-booth and honestly I think that this should become another staple at all wedding receptions! I was able to get fun pictures with the bride and the groom along with other friends who I unfortunately don't get to see very often (and I have another one of these to put together!) One of my favorite pictures from the booth for the night was this one where we managed to fit the whole bridal party into the photo-booth:

I have a little less then a week left here in the east before I head back home. In a way I don't want this vacation to end but in another way I can not wait to get home to get started on Cameron's nursery! I will most certainly keep you updated on that and am going to force myself to break my habit of long hiatus' from my beloved blog - promise.
